Participants will explore the theory and practice of:
- Introduction to Poetic Terrorism (Theory, Artists, current issues)
- Cultural implications of Electronic Civil Disobedience
- New Media and Open Source aspects of Poetic Terrorism and Guerrilla Art
- Open-source software as a tool for freedom (how movements for peace use freeware and open-source to send their messages).
- Hactivism (hacking your way to freedom)

Phase 2: Practical Experience: Commenting on Culture

Creating a critical piece of art, which encompasses the ideals of poetic terrorism and guerrilla art of the 21st Century.

For example the students may decide to mimic the Yes Men and create a website which copies their intended target, in order to make an “identity correction” and a political statement.

Under the supervision of the workshop leader, participants will propose a project to be developed, and will then be guided as how to accomplish an assignment of electronic civil disobedience.

Phase 3: Finishing Process and Perspectives

An evaluation/critique and feedback session will be held, to allow for further growth and critical thinking to help further develop their ideas about art and culture. These kinds of projects are critical to help the students express their concerns in a positive and productive manner, utilizing technology and art as a medium for expression.
